Many of these sites are part of the Community Based Ecotourism Project (CBEP), which means communities worked with NCRC, the Ghana Tourist Board, United States Peace Corps - Ghana, USAID, and SNV to develop stronger local rural economies in a sustainble, community-led manner. Some sites listed worked with other conservation-minded development groups. In project communities, individual economic opportunity improves, and necessities like water pumps and schools receive community funding.
